Format
We will fish 14 fly competitions as per the programme below. Competitors’ best 10
competitions will count towards SANNAC and Intercounty Selection for 2027

1. Sunday 3rd May – Swannay – Highland Park Trophy for the Heaviest Basket and The Gordon Grant Memorial Trophy for Heaviest Fish – 11:00 – 5:00pm Weigh-in 5.00pm – 5.45pm at the site hut.

2. Wednesday 13th May – Harray – W S Sinclair Cup – 6.30pm – 10.30pm Weigh-in 10.30pm – 11.30pm at the site hut. (11-inch limit)

3. Saturday 23rd May – Harray – Bullen Cup (Kirkwall v Stromness) – 10.00am – 4.00pm Fished on average aggregate of team. Weigh-in 4.00pm – 5.00pm at the site hut. (11-inch limit)

4. Wednesday 27th May – Hundland – Walter Lennie Cup – 6.30pm – 10.30pm Weigh-in 10.30pm – 11.15pm at the site hut.

5. Wednesday 3rd June – Swannay – Peter Miller Memorial Trophy – 6.30pm – 10.30pm Weigh-in 10.30pm – 11.15pm at the site hut.

6. Saturday 6th June – Boardhouse – Walter Leask Cup – 11.00am – 5.00pm Weigh-in 5.00pm – 5.45pm at the site hut.

7. Saturday 20th June – Boardhouse – Midnight Cup – 6.30pm – 11.30pm Weigh-in 11.30pm – 12.15pm at the site hut.

8. Sunday 28th June – Swannay – Eunson Cup – 11.00am – 5.00pm Weigh-in 5.00pm – 5.45pm at the site hut. Draw for partners – Local anglers only.
 
9. Thursday 2nd July – Harray – Ferryloupers Trophy – 6.30pm – 10.30pm Fished on average aggregate of team. Ferryloupers to include locals not born in Orkney Weigh-in 10.30pm – 11.30pm at the site hut. (11-inch limit)

10. Sunday 19th July – Boardhouse – Willie Windwick Cup – 11.00am – 5.00pm Weigh-in 5.00pm – 5.45pm at the site hut. Draw for partners – Local anglers only.
11. Tuesday 28th July – Boardhouse – Smithfield Shield – 6.00pm – 10.00pm Weigh-in 10.00pm – 10.45pm at the site hut.

12. Sunday 2nd August – Harray – Tommy Thomson Trophy – 10.00am – 4.00pm Weigh-in 4.00pm – 5.00pm at the site hut. (11-inch limit)

13. Saturday 15th August – Harray – Merkister Cup – 11.00am – 5.00pm Weigh-in 5.00pm – 6.00pm at the site hut. (11-inch limit)

14. Saturday 22nd August – Any Loch – Alan Findlay Cup – 10.00am – 4.00pm Anglers have choice of Boardhouse, Harray, Hundland, Stenness or Swannay Weigh-in 4.00pm – 5.00pm at the Harray site hut. (10 inch limit all lochs other than Harray where an 11-inch limit will apply)

Cancelled Competitions: In the event of any competition having to be cancelled, the next available date below shall apply. Rescheduled competitions shall be fished on the same venue for the same duration.

Weekend rescheduled dates – Sunday 10th May; Sunday 24th May; Sunday 7th June; Sunday 21st June; Saturday 4th July; Sunday 26th July; Sunday 9th August; Sunday 16th August; Sunday 23rd August; Saturday 29th August

Miscellaneous Events
Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June – Intercounty – Orkney v Shetland – To be held in Orkney

Saturday 25th July – Harray – Ladies Cup and the W & C Stanger Cup (Mixed Pairs) – 2.00pm – 5.00pm Weigh-in 5.00pm – 6.00pm at the site hut. (11-inch limit)

Weigh In

Weigh in will take place inside the site hut. Anglers are to drop off their basin at the hut door and then to step back. The designated trout measurer will check all trout and then hand over to the weigher & recorder.

Weighed trout to then be placed back into the basin for the angler to pick up at the door once the measurer has removed themselves.

Results – Anglers are to remain outside the site hut while waiting for the results.
